Fitness for work Assessments and Functional Capacity Evaluations

There are a number of reasons why an employee may require a Fitness for Work Assessment but it is important to note that the primary reason for such a report is to make sure that the individual is fit to perform such tasks as required in their job without risk to their own or others health and safety.

An Assessment might take place before a new recruit begins work or a  person may be returning to work following an injury or illness. Perhaps the conditions of work have changed or a GP has referred a patient for assessment.

Whatever the reason it is important that the assessment is specific to the job and that it is undertaken by a qualified practitioner. Working Health are able to provide a comprehensive Fitness for Work Assessment service and we use a varied mix of validated assessment measures and functional tests to provide a thorough report to your organization.

A workforce is an employer’s greatest asset and in addition to any legal obligations it also makes sound business sense to provide the safest possible working environment and prevent loss of time and money by correctly assessing an employee’s suitability for a job.
